Course Information
How we learn
We learn by doing. When we study Church Planting, part of the assessment is that students join a church planting team. When we study Community Development, students participate in community ministries. And when we study Theology, students have to explain what they believe to someone who thinks differently from them.
Our courses are delivered in a variety of modes: face-to-face at our Townsville campus over a semester, week-long ‘intensives’, and online through our electronic classroom. In some cases, distance students can join our face-to-face classes via phone conference. Study can be undertaken on a part-time or full-time basis.
What we learn
The College offers a series of inter-related qualifications, with increasing levels of knowledge, skills, and challenge, at each stage.
Certificate III in Christian Ministry and Theology 30771QLD can be completed full-time in six months as the prerequisite to the Certificate IV in Christian Ministry. Read more
Certificate IV in Christian Ministry and Theology 30772QLD is one year full-time study. It is an excellent course for anyone who wants a good foundation in their Christian life. Graduates with a Cert IV find employment as chaplains, missionaries, and other church workers. Read more
Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology 30773QLD is a further year of full-time study.

Advanced Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology 30774QLD is a further year of full time study. An Advanced Diploma is the minimum requirement for registration as a Pastor with the Baptist Union of Queensland, and is recommended for those who envisage a ministry of preaching and church leadership. Vocational Graduate Certificate in Christian Ministry and Theology 30775QLD and Vocational Graduate Diploma of Christian Ministry and Theology 30776QLD are both six months of full-time study. These are post-graduate level courses that offer in-depth study in specialised areas. Modules can be tailored to individual students, and often involve significant practical ministry.
